In Week 1 of Term 3, we did Play Make Create. This is where the teacher reads you a story and you discuss the message in the story. Then you create something based on the message and also do a piece of writing. You can use materials or make a digital creation.  This week Mrs Craig Read the book: The silly goat gruff.  It was about three goats that want to go over the bridge but there is a mean troll.

 I chose to create my very own creature, critter, monster or troll. ,something unexpected that the troll could live under and Create a wanted poster for the Troll, here is my work.

The Young Leader trip

 On 22 June 2021 I got to go on a two day trip to Auckland to take part in the Grip Leadership Conference. Mrs Edwards, Mrs B and Shiah’s mum, Nardea were our drivers. We had a great time and the conference was really interesting.

miss C retirement

In Week 8, Term 2  our school librarian, Mrs C, retired. On her last day, we put on a  Book Character Parade. We dressed up in costumes like book characters and then we went making a book of go bye letter here is my page.

 

The old play ground

 

In Week 7,  we went outside and looked at the old wooden playground  to see if we could think how to write about it using personification. We tried to think about the old playground as if it were an old person. We wondered what the old playground might look like or do that was like an old person. Here is my work:

The wood is all old and wrinkled all over and is all rote.

There is very slippery dirt all over the playground.
